Hi All!
Amy BK here. Everyone knows I got married in April of 1999. Coming up on 9 years this month. We don't have kids yet. Doing the fertility thing. It's kind of heart wrentching at moments- but it will happen when the time is right. We've put it in God's hands. We live in Garner, just off Timber Drive (WAY too close to Target). We have a dog (Jodie) who thinks she is a human daughter. She tuned 7 this year, so she's entering into her golden years.
My parents are doing great. Mom retired from working for the state last year and my dad is scheduled to retire this September. They took a Hawaiian cruise last year for their 45th Anniversary.
I job hopped for a number of years trying to find the perfect job. Once I realized that doesn't exist- I found peace and serenity in my current position which I have been at for 3.5 years. It's with the NCACC (North Carolina Association of County Commissioners). We're a happy little disfunctional family. It's fun to see politicians come through the office and really understand the issues in county and state government. I have learned alot and this really is the first election that I will feel confident in my vote: not just for my political party- but for the issues that I truely beleive make a difference.
Mark and I mostly do things with some dear friends of ours in Smithfield. We all get along great and their family has become our family in many ways.
My guilty pleasure: reality TV. Big Brother, Survivor, Amazing Race and Apprentice.

Welcome Girls!

It's been too long since we where in the same room together, much less the same STATE!! I've created this blog page for us to update how we are and keep each other up to date on life changes. I don't know about you, but a little miss of my heart will always belong to our "Senior Girls" days. So blog away!
